I've lived in Orange County, California my whole life. In many ways I'm a stereotypical OC resident. I love Disneyland, going to the beach, shopping, overusing the word "like" and sunshine. Plus, I drive like a maniac. But I'm also very different from the cast of Laguna Beach and The OC. My unique perspective has allowed me to find hidden treasures behind my beloved "orange curtain." Come with me as I go beyond the rich and obvious and find the quirky fun things that make Orange County one of the most original places in the world. Feel free to click on the "submit" button above and tell me about any Orange County treasures you find.

Me: “Live? Oh, well you see, you actually need a facebook group or fan page and a Twitter account so we can link the icons to them. Remember I asked you to create those pages?”

A Flounder Fish at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. This is such a fun place and perfect for a date, field trip for the kiddos or girls night. You can go through the whole thing in about an hour and a half, longer if you watch the shows. They also have a very cook behind the scenes tours. There us a cafe, but it’s expensive and not that great. There are a ton of restaurants within walking distance of the aquarium and we always eat at one of those.

30 Day Disney Challenge

You Favorite Princess: This one is tough because I love Belle, Ariel and Rapunzel. But gun to my head, I have to say Belle. I love that she isn’t afraid to be different and that she wants adventure in the great wide somewhere. Also love her passion for reading, her willingness to sacrifice for her dad, and the fact that she’s a brunette. She taught me that brown hair can be pretty, haha.

Spent the afternoon with my nieces and nephews at Doheny. It’s the little stretch of beach in between the Harbor and the state beach. It’s a great spot because you only have to pay $1 an hour (as opposed to $15 for a day pass to the state beach). The waves are small so it’s great for kayaking, paddle boarding and learning how to surf

30 Day Disney Challenge: Your Favorite Prince

Prince Eric. For one, Little Mermaid was my favorite movie growing up. Prince Eric had more a personality than the other princes. In several other movies the princess is the main focus and the prince is just a face. But Eric had his own story, his own dreams and passions. Plus, his fight scene with Ursula is epic.
